How We Got Our Ducks in a Row - Memgraph Company Retreat 2021

Even birds on the trees know by now that remote work has significantly impacted a natural human desire to socialize. Despite the fact that we found and implemented many virtual ways to stay connected with our coworkers, nothing compares to getting the whole company together for a four-day company retreat in Istria.

What were the main goals of the retreat?

Firstly, we wanted everybody to connect with each other, build more meaningful relationships away from the day-to-day pressures and hectic schedules. Secondly, we wanted to get everybody aligned about what we are trying to achieve in Memgraph for the next month, 6 months, 12 months, and further in the future. Lastly, we wanted to properly celebrate the launch of Memgraph 2.0.!

What better way to explain how we spent our retreat than sharing some of the photos?

We did some adrenaline-fuelled activities to get our pulse going.

Adrenaline junkies enjoyed an 11 meters high swing.

Ana rocked the 6-meter high suspension bridge with ease.

Antonio mastered every obstacle with a smile.

We tasted some excellent wines

Wine tasting at the Kabola winery was a unique experience. And even purchased some to take back home! 😁

We ate a lot (really a lot)

Dinner at the heart of Rovinj.

We enjoyed a traditional dining experience in Toklarija.

We also learned a lot

We learned about each other through many interesting activities. 🥁
