Technical Project Manager

Location: UK, Croatia, Remote

Join our team either remotely or in one of two locations, London or Zagreb. This role can be based in any location, preferably within the Central European Time (CET) +/- 03:00 time zone.

The Team

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our engineering team responsible for delivering high-quality solutions to our customers around the globe in the world’s major industries like finance, manufacturing and utilities. As a project manager on the Solutions team, you will be directly engaging with Memgraph's customers, coordinate between them and the Solutions team and run projects from the beginning to end.

The Role

As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for successful project planning and execution, customer experience and delivering high-quality results on schedule and within budget. You'll need to create detailed plans and priorities for project delivery, ensure resource availability and allocation, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

This is a complex role requiring many interdisciplinary skills - you should have a good technical background and also great project management skills. You'll be developing scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. It's essential to understand graph theory and algorithms to build realistic project timelines and to be able to map all requirements into actionable operational steps, as well as understand domain-specific technical requirements each project has. You’ll work very closely with deeply technical people and at the same time manage the roadmap and often non-technical stakeholders to ensure teams are on track.

Alongside the Project Management work, this role will involve aspects of Product and Account Management. In practice, the person will be feeding product feedback back to the Memgraph team and quantify the value of each feature. The person will also manage multiple users and observe the projects from a monetary perspective and participate in decision-making around which projects to further invest in.

  • 3+ years of experience in Project Management role in a product-led company
  • BSc college degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
  • Good technical background, with deep understanding or hands-on experience in software development
  • Experience with project management tools like Jira, Asana, Basecamp or similar
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum-like environment
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills with ability to understand and explain issues from both a technical and business viewpoint
  • Being comfortable fostering collaboration with a variety of stakeholders to ensure that our product releases and major initiatives are successful
  • Being comfortable with working in a dynamic environment with multiple projects and requests simultaneously
  • Ability to foresee and assess risk, plan to mitigate risk and manage escalations or critical situations
  • Ability to work independently and remotely.
